Best Trick Street Competition Rules

Each participant will have a deadline to presubmit their best trick from when the event starts to when they are to register their trick in advance.
Each skater can come in and see which park the competition will be held. From there they can devise a plan of which trick they can perform and submit their best trick.

 

  • All skaters must submit their trick that they will be preforming in advance at the deadline.

  • Failure to submit a trick could and can result in disqualification.

  • "If you have a trick that does not have a name “invented a new trick” or a trick that the judges are not familiar with. You may be required to use one or two hands to move the board through the park to show the judges in advance the trick that you are trying to perform."

  • Each participant will be required to use index and middle finger. No thumbs are allowed for this competition

  • Each participant will have up to 10 tries to land their trick that they have selected in advance once their turn comes up.

  • If you land your trick on the first through nine attempts. You can use the remaining attempts if you wish to try to land the same trick with more finesse.

  • There is no time limit only 10 attempts.

Judging

  • "Each participant will be required to ship their deck for entry and have us receive it before the two week deadline.

  • If you plan on not attending and want your submission shipped back. Pack a return labeled envelop and we will ship it in the same package it arrived in."

  • Each participant can only send in one deck for each category. So you can also participate in Best Deck Graphics, Best Deck Natural, and Best Split Ply by submitting separate Decks for each category.

  • If you are going to enter in with different events. You cannot use the same deck. A winning deck cannot resubmit the same deck to another event. Ex. Entering at Chicago and also want to enter into the next event in Las Vegas. We want creativity and evolution to continue to change the game.

Specs

  • All boards will need to be a 96MM x 32MM 

  • "Low to medium kicks and concave. Ex. Boards can be low, low/medium, or medium kick. Ex. Boards can be a low, low/medium, or medium concave. Boards can also Be any combination of kick and concave. "

  • Boards must be a dyed wood finish only no graphics or split plys,

  • Must have 8 holes for two sets of trucks

  • "There is no set limit on how many plys you can use. We have seen 4 plys that are amazing along with 6 plys that are amazing. With that being said and plys ranging in Thickness, The weight of the board is crucial. Most decks are .425 oz to .525 oz and still being durable with little to no flex of the board. The lighter the board the better. "

  • Boards must be 96MM long from the center of the nose to the center of the tail.

  • Boards must be 32MM wide during every part of board except where the nose and tail start to take shape.

  • The board needs to be symmetrical, Nose and the tail need to be the exact same size and shape.

  • Board fits within low to medium kicks/concave

  • Boards have a smooth and clear finish highlighting the quality of the plys

  • Drill holes are no larger than 2MM and holes line up perfectly for truck assembly

  • The lighter the board with no flex to the board the better

Things that will lose you points:

  • Not having a symmetrical board.

  • Not having an even at the 32mm across the whole board

  • not having a 96mm in length

  • not having even drill holes

  • Do the following better than anyone else and you my friend are a winner.

Bonus Points:

  • Sunken drill holes. Not required but there are two sides to a deck. Branding the top or using the top of the deck to show case your work can get you extra points if done correctly.

  • Parks can be a collections of street, vert, and bowl. They can also be a just street, vert, or a bowl.

Things that will get you points:

  • Parks will be judged based off the quality, and durability of the obstacles in the park

  • how much detail goes into the park

  • The park does not have to be very large but the larger the park the more things you can add to it.

  • how easily accessible things in the park are to reach

  • the more transitional pieces the better

  • how well the park flows

Things that will lose you points:

  • parks need to be easily accessible to the hand/arm. Ex. To wide or a park where you can't reach the middle of the park

  • quality of the park

Bonus Points:

  • Having something unique to the park ex. Sparkles, glow in the dark, etc...

  • Branding on the park

  • Having a softer durometer

  • Trucks will need to come with axle nuts and kingpin nuts/screw.

  • Both trucks need to be the same color scheme

  • Both trucks need to be the same shape, size, and thickness.
